I've always been interested in the arts, but photography is a passion that I found later in life. In my mid-late twenties, I was a full time accountant and progressing quickly in my professional career, I had just planned a wedding and married my best friend. You'd think I'd be on cloud 9, but I was feeling unfulfilled. I eventually realized I was feeling so unfulfilled because I missed creative work. With my husbands support, I purchased my first DSLR camera, took a few classes at some local photography schools and fell in love with this medium of art. I knew I eventually wanted my own photography company.
Life got in the way, like always I suppose, and photography took a backseat to other things that were going on. My husband and I bought our first house and had our first child (a son, he's 2.5 now. He's my world and pictured above). I continued to think about that photography business I had wanted to start and decided I wanted to make my dream a reality. So in all of my free time, after work and after my little guy's bedtime, I buckled down and started learning as much as I could and taking as many new clients that I could manage with my already busy schedule.
It's been a wild ride - lots of long days of sessions, many of them on very cold days and lots of late nights on my laptop, either editing those sessions or taking a photography course online, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I truly love capturing the most important moments of my clients lives!
I want to say an extra special thank you to my husband and son, who have done nothing but support me through this crazy journey. I couldn't have done all of this without you guys! I love you!
Thanks for visiting my page! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
